From 14-17 of March the 18th European Molecular Imaging Meeting (EMIM) took take place in the world-famous Mirabell park gardens in the heart of Salzburg, the city of Mozart.
We were proud that both Marc Stroet, Lukasz Mateusiak, Simone Janssen and Hans Ingelberts of the NLITE team presented during the conference. Marc contributed on behalf of the image guided surgery workgroup with a presentation on how to standardize optical imaging data and Lukazs presented the latest results regarding the research with the uPAR fluorescent nanobody. Simone and Hans communicated the latest developments of the fluorescent lifetime imaging camera and the first set of in-vivo data results.
Further, five months into the project, twelve NLITE members from the VUB joined the CoDaFlight collaborators from Greece, Germany, Norway and France for their first annual meeting. On this meeting we discussed the scientific progress, intensified our collaborations, talked about instrument and imaging requirements, and transferred the first engineered contrast agents (dyes) from the co- workers in Dijon to the team based in Brussels. The agenda was focused on promoting the interactivity between the teams and to align the work within the work packages for the coming period.
